CALL FOR PAPERS: the 8th International Conference of the Czech Oral History Association Divided, Yet Together: Borders in an Oral History Perspective

The conference will take place on 9th and 10th February 2023 at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University Bratislava (Gondova Street 2, Slovakia).

In 2023, we will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and the establishment of two independent states: the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. We, therefore, welcome especially (but not exclusively) interdisciplinary papers reflecting theoretical, methodological, ethical, or practical aspects of oral history qualitative research in the context of research of borders – in all possible meanings of this word. The conference will take place under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University, Professor Marián Zouhar.

The deadline for proposals is on the 1st of December 2022 via an online form: https://1url.cz/@coha2023.

The conference fee is 800 CZK (400 CZK for the COHA members).

If you have any questions, please contact us at info@coha.cz.

The organizers reserve the right to choose the proposals; the final selection will be announced at the latest on the 20th of December 2022. Selected papers will be published in a peer-review journal.
